Work Family Conflict and Career Progression of Female School Teachers: A Pilot Study

Maintaining a balance between aspects of family and work is pivotal considering the globalization fast pace trends evolution. For society to be successful an individual growth it vital have harmony dual roles. Individual’s career progression determined by factors work. If any conflict two roles leads leading ultimate impact on progression. The aim this paper validate research instrument relationship characteristics, related factors, female schoolteachers. Preliminary (pilot) study was conducted draw conclusions basis for in-depth analysis studied variables. A sample 60 schoolteachers gathered conducting questionnaire survey. Childcare, elder care, housework, inflexible working schedule, job-spouse, job-parent were analysed. This preliminary not only tested feasibility design but also illuminated areas potential ambiguity or sensitivity in questions. respondents selected from schools Karachi, Pakistan.
